Live sound training for churches
How it works:
Stuart Strawbridge is a professional freelance sound engineer and has been for over 10 years. Over this time he has worked with many popular artists and mixed sound at many popular events including Kimbra, The Finn brothers, Tiki Taane, Jason Kerrison, Steriogram, Cornerstone Roots, Late Eighties Mercedes, Goodnight Nurse, 48May, Big Day out, Edgefest, Parachute, Beach tours and many more. He's also been involved with leading worship for over 12 years, and he would like to share his knowledge and experience with you to help with the worship, sound and lighting at your church.
Stuart can come to you during a usual practise, making sure the band is under way on stage, and then talk with 1 or 2 sound engineers with practical hands on learning, or come in at a separate time dedicated to learning about sound engineering, although this lacks a little on the hands on experience without the musicians around, it does provide dedicated time to learn more about the console and answer questions etc

$35 per half hour, and travel cost may be involved for those outside of Hamilton

- How to make your sound checks quicker
- Using your ears to improve, enhance and balance the sound
- Frequencies and their characteristics
- Information on microphones and DI's
- and Stuart will share tips that's he's learned through his career to help get a great sound
